Somatic Counselling is for when talking isn't enough.

When the intellect might be getting in the way.

When we don't need to understand more, we need to feel more.

Most burn out and breakdowns are caused by a lack of completed emotions - we get them stuck in our head and they cycle, sometimes for an entire life; its called emotional indigestion. By returning them to the body, we make them something that can be shaken off, exhaled or reimagined.

What is Somatic Counselling?

Somatic Counselling is a way to feel better, and more empowered by trusting your body — not just your thoughts. It’s not therapy. No couch. No diagnosis. Just you, your body, and a guiding hand.

We don’t try to “fix” you. We help you come back to your senses: your breath, your body, your feelings. It’s about learning to feel safe inside yourself again.

What to expect

What happens in a session

Sessions are 60 minutes (sometimes more, sometimes less), and happen on Zoom.

Each session might include:


— we get calm and safe first


— we notice where stress or tightness lives in your body


— we listen to what your body is trying to tell you


— maybe you breathe, move, or make sounds to help feelings shift


— we come back to the body, thank it, and reflect on what we found

If the session feels heavy, I’ll also give you simple ways to care for yourself after.

I’m Ryan.

I know what it’s like to feel stuck or shut down.

Talking about it didn’t help me much — so I found another way.

In 2023, something big shifted in my life, and I knew I wanted to help others feel safe in their bodies too. That’s what brought me here.

About the Method

I use a method called Embodied Processing (EP).

It was created by Ryan Hassan and Matt Kay in Australia.

EP helps people with stress, trauma, anxiety, and more — by working gently with the nervous system.

It brings together lots of smart body-based ideas like:

  • Polyvagal Theory (Stephen Porges)

  • Somatic Experiencing (Peter Levine)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Compassionate Inquiry (Gabor Maté)

But mostly, it’s simple:

We slow down, feel what’s real, and let the body guide us.
